PHI "Central Clinical Hospital "RZD-Medicine"

The Central Clinical Hospital "RZD-Medicine" in Moscow is part of the "RZD-Medicine" network, which serves over 2.5 million people across Russia. During the pandemic, the hospital was repurposed as a COVID hospital.

Ensure the safety of staff while providing care to COVID-19 patients and prevent cross-contamination among patients. The equipment had to comply with the Russian Temporary Methodological Recommendations on "Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment of Novel Coronavirus Infection (COVID-19)."

UV air recirculators AEROLIT 500-1 and AEROLIT 550 were installed in both "safe" and "red" zones. These recirculators effectively protected hospital staff due to their high UV radiation dose (over 25 mJ/cm²) and high air flow rate (500 m³/h), ensuring sufficient air exchange frequency in rooms (the recommendations require at least four exchanges per hour). The simple and reliable design allowed nurses to focus on patient care without needing to maintain the device after its initial activation.

Continuous air sampling for sanitary-indicative microorganisms demonstrated their absence, confirming the air's safety for humans.

During the pandemic, powerful UV equipment prevented infection spread in medical facilities and helped save lives of already infected patients.
